Meet the team
We’re More Than a Law Firm — We’re a Team of Purpose here to serve our Communities
At Amba Law Immigration Solutions PC, our team is united by one mission: to serve our immigrant clients with excellence, empathy, and integrity. We speak the languages of the communities we come from because we are…come from the very communities we represent —available in the following languages Amharic, Arabic, Burji, Dari, Farsi, Kizigua, Afaan Oromo, Pashto, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tigrinya and counting — and our strength lies in that diversity.
Every member of our team, from attorney to ambassador, plays a role in ensuring our clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Attorney Yasin G. Amba
Founder & Principal Attorney
Attorney Yasin G. Amba
Yasin founded Amba Law to redefine what legal service means for immigrants and refugees.
A former public defender and corporate litigator, he built this firm to make the law accessible — not intimidating — and to ensure that dignity is never lost in the process.
Born in Ethiopia and raised in the United States, Yasin’s life bridges two worlds. His experience as both advocate and immigrant shapes how Amba Law practices law — with precision, compassion, and purpose. He believes that through law, we can build not just cases, but communities; not just outcomes, but belonging.
Kadir Konse Gire
Legal Assistant & Case Manager
Kadir Konse Gire
Kadir serves as Amba Law’s Legal Assistant and Case Manager, as well as the firm’s primary bridge to our clients in Ethiopia. Based in Yabelo — the same village where Yasin was born — Kadir coordinates document collection, translation, and client communication between the U.S. and East Africa.
A recent graduate of Addis Ababa University, Kadir combines discipline and heart in his work, ensuring every case reflects the team’s shared commitment to excellence and integrity.
He represents the next generation of global advocates, embodying the belief that service transcends borders.
Juma Konse Gire
File Clerk & Assistant to Case Manager
Juma, the youngest member of the Amba Law team, serves as File Clerk and assists with case organization and coordination alongside his older brother, Kadir. Also based in Yabelo, Juma brings a sense of maturity and balance to his work as both a husband and father.
His reliability and attention to detail keep the firm’s cross-border operations efficient and secure. He represents the quiet strength that defines Amba Law — steady, humble, and always in service of others.

Mohussin Abakar
Legal Intern & Community Ambassadorn (Masalit Community)
Mohussin Abakar
Mohussin joined Amba Law as a Legal Intern after graduating from college and brings with her both intelligence and lived experience.
Having immigrated to the United States as a teenager from Sudan, she understands the hopes and challenges that come with building a new life in a new country. As both a Legal Intern and Community Ambassador to the Masalit community, she plays a vital role in helping clients from her community navigate the immigration process with trust and understanding.
At Amba Law, she assists with case preparation, client communication, and research — helping the firm deliver exceptional service while preparing for her own legal career. Currently studying for the LSAT, Mohussin represents the future of immigrant excellence: disciplined, ambitious, and deeply rooted in purpose.
Our Community Ambassadors
Amba Law’s Ambassadors are the heartbeat of our firm. They are community leaders, interpreters, and educators who make the law accessible where it matters most — within the lives of immigrants and refugees. Each Ambassador represents both culture and connection, ensuring our clients can express themselves fully and be understood with care. Through their work, Amba Law extends far beyond the courtroom — reaching into neighborhoods, faith centers, and family homes, building trust and empowerment in one conversation at a time.
The Amba Law Team
Together, our team reflects what Amba Law stands for: excellence without ego, service without judgment, and belonging without borders. Every member of this firm — from attorney to ambassador — is part of a shared mission: to help immigrants build a life of peace, purpose, and permanence.
